Concert Review: John Mayer

John Mayer took his summer 2019 tour to the Golden 1 Center stage in Sacramento this past Tuesday, September 17, and it was just as you would expect from a man with such immense talent.

From beginning to end, Mayer had his audience under his spell. His charm and raw talent filled the arena with ease. With twenty-odd songs, Mayer brought something for everyone. As Mayer counted in his hit, “Waiting on the World to Change”, the crowd screamed in a frenzy. Everyone was on their feet, dancing and reveling in the nostalgia of the song.

Between his mainstream hits like, “Your Body Is a Wonderland” and “Gravity”, Mayer continued to rock the arena with crowd pleasers like “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room” and “Stop This Train”. His effortless guitar riffs had everyone grooving right alongside him.

Mayer ended the night with his 2018 single, “New Light”, an explosion of confetti, and a smile on everyone’s face.

According to a recent Instagram post by Mayer, his new album is expected to drop in 2020, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for this blues influenced, soft-rock artist.
