It's Official: Queso Is Coming To All Chipotle Locations Next Week

US-FOOD-SAFETY-HEALTH-CHIPOLTE

Chipotle began testing queso back in July at select restaurants in New York, California, and Colorado.

Now, starting on Sept. 12, the entire nation will be able to get their hands on it. According to a press release, the dip can be added to an entree for $1 or purchased as a large side for $5.

~BUTTTT, the queso is extra~

I'm okay with that!

"Although queso was the number one requested menu item, we never added it to our menu before now because we wouldn’t use the industrial additives used in most quesos,” says CEO Steve Ellis in a statement

"Our queso may vary slightly depending on the characteristics of the aged cheddar cheese used in each batch, but using only real ingredients is what makes our food so delicious," says Ellis.

Chipotle's queso won't use any added colors or preservatives, but will be made with cheddar cheese, tomatillos, tomatoes, and several kinds of peppers.

BRING IT ON.
