Hundreds Evacuated As Multiple Fires Burn in Napa Valley and Sonoma

Hundreds evacuated their homes in Napa Valley and Sonoma County overnight as multiple fires ravaged thousands of acres of land were finding out this morning.

In Napa County, there were three major active fires as of about 5:45 a.m., plus additional smaller fires, said Napa County spokeswoman Molly Rattigan.

According to the LA TIMES:

The two largest fires are the Atlas Peak fire near the city of Napa, which is burning more than 10,000 acres as of 6:45 a.m., and the Tubbs fire that is spreading from Calistoga to Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, according to Napa County spokeswoman Kristi Jourdan. That fire is at 20,000 acres, according to the Santa Rosa Fire Department.
