Reese Witherspoon's Sweet Home Alabama co-star Josh Lucas is totally game for a sequel to the 2002 flick!
"I'm up for it. I know Reese said she is as well," Lucas told ET Wednesday (July 31). "The director is absolutely up for it. I spoke to him about it a couple of times recently. So look, I throw it out to you, Reese."
Lucas said that director Andy Tennant has a script and development for the sequel, although that doesn't make anything official.
"I think the person who's the one to put it together is Reese, so I'm hoping," Lucas continued. "Who knows? She's got a lot of irons in the fire to say the least. Hopefully this is one of them."
Reece Witherspoon has yet to respond but did hint she'd love to make a sequel 2016 during a Facebook Live chat.
"I love Sweet Home Alabama!" she said. "We are not making a sequel that I know of, but if Disney wants to call me, I would happily make a Sweet Home Alabama 2!"
