Blake Shelton expressed his sadness over his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, leaving the Voice this upcoming 18th season. Back in October it was announced that Stefani would not be back as a coach. Shelton mentioned that Stefani has many other obligations she has to attend to coming up, like finishing up her Las Vegas residency. The Voice also must keep things fresh by rotating judges in and out Shelton stated, "the show needs to keep reinventing itself, and the only was to really do that is to rotate coaches in and out, as long as it's not me right?". He expressed though that once someone is apart of the show they are always considered family. He predicts Gwen will be back saying it isn't the last of seeing anyone who's been apart of The Voice.
