Parks and Recreation Cast To Reunite In Character For Special

Get exited!! The Parks and Recreation cast is coming back for a benefit episode!

NBC announced next week in an effort to raise money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. The highly-anticipated special is set to air on Thursday, April 30th at 8:30PM ET / PT on NBC.

Amy Poehler shared the news in promotion video on the show's official Twitter account. Like the rest of us in the real world, Leslie Knope and her lovable band of misfits are all stuck inside their home in Pawnee. The episode follows Leslie Knope, played by Poehler, as she attempts to “stay connected to her friends in a time of social distancing."

The whole cast including Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta will also revive their original characters. NBC also confirmed that “several guest stars from the Pawnee universe may pop in.” The special was “all shot from our homes,” Poehler added in her announcement.
