VIDEO: Fight Breaks Out Between Sacramento Gas Station Clerk & Customer

A bloody brawl broke out at a Sacramento gas station.

The customer involved told CBS13 that he stopped for gas and was attacked outside by the gas station's clerk.

The altercation was captured by surveillance cameras and shows the store clerk running outside and confronting the customer.

According to CBS13, some say the fight was prompted by a misunderstanding caused by a language barrier.

The surveillance footage shows what happened inside the store.

The customer, 59-year-old Felipe Jimenz, can be seen growing increasingly frustrated as he tries to communicate to the clerk, 29-year-old Dwann Chester, that he wants to get gas.

After Chester says that he can't understand him, Jimenz eventually flips off the clerk and walks out of the store.

That's when Chester ran after him and aggressively approached him just outside of the store.

In the video, Jimenz throws a punch and Chester repeatedly punches back and eventually knocks Jimenz to the ground.

"I just want to apologize to him," Chester said in an interview with CBS13. "I didn't want my anger to take me to take it that far. It wasn't called for."

Both Chester and Jimenz were cited for misdemeanor battery and released with court dates, according to Sacramento police.
