Mark Hoppus is grateful to be done with chemotherapy and hopeful that the treatments had a positive impact on his cancer battle.

The former Blink-182 bassist has been fighting stage 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma since April and has been undergoing chemotherapy to treat it. Earlier this month, Hoppus' former bandmate Tom DeLonge announced that his friend was officially done with chemo. Now, Hoppus is reflecting on where he is now in his health journey.

"Today I'm grateful to not be going in for chemotherapy," he said Wednesday (September 29). "It's been three weeks since my last treatment. Normally I'd be going in today. 'Normally.' Damn. Getting pumped full of poison every three weeks is my normal. On the 29th I get scanned and will know if it worked."

Hoppus publicly revealed his diagnosis in June and a month later shared news that the chemotherapy seemed to be working. He's even documented the process of trying to grow his hair back.

"Scans indicate that the chemo is working! I still have months of treatment ahead, but it's the best possible news," he said at the time. "I'm so grateful and confused and also sick from last week's chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of people around me are destroying this cancer."
