The investigation into Liam Payne's tragic and untimely death is continuing on, and a waiter in Buenos Aires has now been arrested in connection with the case.
The waiter, Braian Nahuel Paiz, was arrested for providing cocaine to the former One Direction star, and was under house arrest after he was charged in connection with the investigation, according to TMZ. His home was also raided before the arrest.
TMZ also reports that Paiz had admitted to using drugs with Liam, telling the outlet that he partied with Payne at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel just before the singer died after falling from his hotel room balcony. They reportedly consumed cocaine and whiskey.
Paiz is now facing between four and 15 years in prison following the charge, and TMZ reports that he feels as though "he's being treated as a murderer and feels like a scapegoat."
Others that were charged in connection with Liam's death include his friend, Roger Nores, as well as hotel emloyees Ezequiel Pereyra, Gilda Martin and Esteban Grassi.
Payne was found dead at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina after falling from the balcony of his third floor room into the courtyard. Liam was just 31 years old, and leaves behind his seven-year-old son Bear, who he shares with ex Cheryl Cole.
