Louis Tomlinson is sharing his thoughts on becoming a young dad.
During a recent appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast, the "Lemonade" singer looked back at becoming a father when he was 24 years old. He shares 9-year-old son Freddie with ex Briana Jungwirth. While some new parents may have been anxious about the life-changing chapter, Tomlinson said he felt confident in his new role because it was something he was always looking forward to when he was growing up, per People.
"I've always been uber excited about it even from like being a young young lad, but also truthfully, I felt utterly confident," he said. "I just I felt like I was going to be a good dad. I really really wanted to do that and to play that role."
The musician, 33, went on to gush over how "deeply proud" he is of his son's sweet personality.
"He is just the sweetest kid, man. He's just so kind," he said. "I could well up thinking about it now. That's what makes me feel deeply proud."
Elsewhere in the interview, Tomlinson reflected on the death of his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who tragically died October 16, 2024, at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also revealed that he learned of his friend's passing from fellow 1D alum Niall Horan.
