Hero reporter interrupts broadcast to rescue dog from flooding

Julie Wilson is a TV reporter in New Bern, North Carolina.  On Friday she was reporting from the flood waters of Hurricane Florence when she encountered a woman who needed help rescuing her therapy dog. 

Julie interrupted the broadcast to go and rescue the dog -  A HUGE Rottweiler – and carried the dog through the flooded streets to safety. 

Julie is a dog lover and said “Nobody’s leaving a dog in this mess…  That’s what we’re doing out here.
