High Number Of Home Construction In California

New numbers out this morning show California home construction has hit a 13 year high.

The Sacramento Bee reports housing construction in California jumped last year to the highest level since the Great Recession, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and a historic state population decline. New data shows more new homes are being built in the Central Valley and foothills as coastal Californians move inland.

According to economists and housing analysts, despite the boom in home construction across the state California is reportedly stil l dealing with a housing crisis due t escalating real estate costs. 103,000 housing units were built in 2020, an 8% improvement from the year prior according to the state Department of Finance.
