The Albany Empire will be back, the NAL announced Tuesday. It was previously announced that Albany would host an arena football team, but the naming rights were a sticking point after the league went bankrupt after the 2019 season. In addition, Rob Keefe will return as head coach.
Assuming the coronavirus pandemic is a distant memory by then, the league is expected to begin in early to mid 2021.
