Elton John reflects on a “Profanity Laced Fall-Out” with Tina Turner

Elton John’s new biography, ME: Elton John isn’t even out yet and all the juicy details are being released.

John writes about his blowup with Tina Turner “I got off the phone and burst into tears,” says John ‘She sounded like my f*****g mother.”

He said: “The subsequent debate about whether I knew how to play Proud Mary became quite heated, before I brought it to a conclusion by telling Tina Turner to stick her f***ing song up her a**e and stormed off.

“I’ve thrown plenty of tantrums in my time, but there are limits: there’s an unspoken rule that musicians don’t treat their fellow musicians like s**t.”

Elton and Tina parted ways amicably, and years later had dinner at Elton’s home.

Here is a Clip where Tina Turner addressed this “Fall out” back in 2000
